Partner in your growth - for the next 30 years, like the last 30.

Forged in the toughest manufacturing industries

Qmuzik is based in Pretoria, South Africa. For more than 30 years we have been developing, implementing and supporting our own software business solutions in some of the most demanding manufacturing industries in the world.

We were forged in the fires of the highly regulated Aerospace & Defence industry, and then sharpened in the highly optimised supply chain and JIT/JIS world of automotive tier-1 suppliers - where a single mis-sequenced part can stop a factory line. We are now applying that same proven software to the process manfacturing industry.

Our heritage is rooted in defence, where we established a strong footprint by developing robust, highly traceable and compliance-driven solutions in close collaboration with industry leaders. Over the years we have evolved into a broader solution provider serving any manufacturing sector where traceability, accuracy and process control are mission-critical - including industries with stringent regulatory requirements, intricate production processes and the need for complete lifecycle visibility.

Building on that foundation, we bring the same level of precision, compliance strength and operational insight to producers who rely on rigorous traceability and quality management - helping them optimise workflows, strengthen product safety and improve end-to-end visibility across the supply chain.

Engineers who problem-solve - not just deliver software

We are a bunch of engineers and problem-solvers. Many industrial and mechanical engineers have been part of our development and implementation teams over the years and it shows. As engineers, we cannot help ourselves: we want to problem-solve, and we entrench ourselves in your business to do it. We want to identify and resolve the 20% of issues that cause 80% of your problems. That instinct is why the software works the way it does, and it is why our engagements go deeper than a typical software project.

Homegrown, and here for the long run

Homegrown expertise means we understand the uniquely local challenges you face. We are not a value-added reseller - we are the owners and developers of our own software. So when you need a change, there is no expensive round-trip through a third-party VAR to a European vendor. You talk to the people who wrote the code. And since our acquisition in 2020 by the Constellation Software International (CSI) group, you can have peace of mind that we will still be around in the next 30 years - with the backing of a publicly-listed, buy-and-hold parent that has never sold an acquired business.

Our vision: enterprise-grade for the SMME

Our vision is to enable every SMME with enterprise-grade capabilities that were previously only available to the big dogs.

Our strategy is to partner with SMMEs that have a vision to grow - and then provide them with the expertise, support and tooling they need to kick-start that growth and scale.

What is the difference between a business partner and a solution provider?

A business partner works collaboratively with your organisation to achieve long-term strategic goals - going beyond simply providing solutions. That role involves offering advice, co-innovation and shared responsibility for success through a relationship-driven approach that includes joint planning, shared risk and mutual growth.

A true business partner doesn't just deliver software - they help optimise processes, align with your business strategy and co-develop new capabilities to drive sustainable value. Partners therefore also have responsibilities towards each other. Our responsibility is to help facilitate your growth with our toolset, domain expertise and experience. Your responsibility is to execute on your vision for growth, and to facilitate buy-in from your entire organisation so the tools are properly utilised and the processes adhered to.

If you have a vision to grow, we want to be more than a solution provider for you. We want to be your business partner in growth. In short: if you grow, we grow - it is as simple as that.

Partnership is a two-way street

A real partnership has responsibilities on both sides. Here is what we bring - and what we ask of you in return - so that both sides benefit from the growth.

Our responsibility: enterprise-grade toolset

We give you the software that has been battle-tested in aerospace, defence and automotive tier-1 supply - traceability, compliance, planning, scheduling, quality and costing - in one integrated system.

Our responsibility: domain expertise

Engineers and industrial specialists who have implemented these systems for decades. We bring the pattern-matching that only comes from having seen the same problem in twenty different plants.

Our responsibility: implementation & support

Comprehensive implementation, support and continuous-improvement services - deeply connected to our customer base and responsive to how your industry is evolving.

Your responsibility: execute the vision

A clear growth vision that we can align the toolset to. The best partnerships work because the customer knows where they are going - we help them get there faster and with less risk.

Your responsibility: organisational buy-in

Facilitate buy-in across your organisation so the tools are properly utilised and the processes are adhered to. Software adoption is a team sport, and the customer has to want to play it.

Mutual outcome: shared growth

If you grow, we grow. That is the shape of the partnership - long-horizon, relationship-driven and measured by the outcomes you achieve, not by the licences we sold.

How we implement - leaner than our peers

We aim to have implementations done in about 3 months. Our implementation costs are far lower than our peers in the industry - partly because we own our own software, and partly because we let your team take on the parts they can (with our supervision) instead of billing you for every hour.

  1. 1

    Discover

We spend the first weeks inside your business - walking the floor, mapping the pain points, understanding your growth vision. This is where the "80% of problems come from 20% of issues" instinct kicks in.

  2. 2

    Design

We align the toolset to your operation, not the other way round. Templates, routings, workflows, roles and reports are configured against how you actually make and ship product.

  3. 3

    Migrate

Self-help data-migration options let your team do the bulk of the work under our supervision - no army of consultants billing you by the hour to move records that only your team truly understands.

  4. 4

    Train

Role-based training so the tools land with the people who will actually use them. Adoption is built in from day one, not chased after go-live.

  5. 5

    Go live

Cutover into steady state. Our target is a 3-month implementation from kickoff to go-live - measured against outcomes, not milestones on a Gantt chart.

  6. 6

    Grow together

Continuous improvement, new modules as your business evolves, and a relationship that lasts. Our first acquired A&D customer is still with us after 25 years - that is what steady state looks like.

Common questions

Where are you based?

Pretoria, South Africa. Homegrown expertise means we understand the uniquely local challenges you face - and when you need a change to the software, there is no round-trip through a European vendor to make it happen.

Are you a reseller of someone else's software?

No. We own and develop our own software. That means the people who wrote the code are the ones you speak to about changes - no VAR chain in between, and no waiting on a distant vendor's roadmap.

What does "business partner in growth" actually mean?

It means we bring the toolset, the domain expertise and the implementation muscle, and you bring the growth vision and the organisational commitment to execute on it. If you grow, we grow - the partnership is measured by your outcomes, not our licence revenue.

How long does an implementation take?

We aim for about three months from kickoff to go-live. Self-help data-migration options and lean implementation practices let us keep the cost meaningfully lower than the industry norm - without shortcutting the parts that matter.

What kind of manufacturers do you work with?

Any manufacturer where traceability, accuracy and process control are mission-critical - from aerospace and defence, to automotive tier-1 supply, to industrial machinery, electronics, chemicals, pharma, food and beverage, packaging and mining. Our roots are in the hardest cases; the same platform serves less-regulated environments equally well.

What happens if we outgrow you?

That is the point of the partnership. The toolset was engineered for aerospace, defence and automotive tier-1 supply - with backing from a publicly-listed group that has been around for more than three decades. If you grow into that scale of operation, we already run software there.

Will you still be around in 5, 10, 20 years?

Since 2020 we have been part of Constellation Software International (TSX: CSU) - a buy-and-hold group that acquires vertical-market software businesses for the long term. Our first acquired A&D customer has been with us for more than 25 years; we intend to be around for the next 30.

Let's talk about your growth
